Care with intention

Room for the person behind the responsibilities.

You may be showing up for work, caring for others, and keeping things moving while feeling anxious, exhausted, or disconnected inside. Therapy offers time to understand what you are carrying and decide what needs to change. You do not have to have the right words or a complete plan before you begin.

You can be capable and still need support

Being the person others depend on can leave little room for your own needs. Brenda brings clinical training and lived experience of carrying a heavy load while appearing okay. Here, you can speak honestly about what feels difficult, without having to keep up that appearance.

For the things you have been carrying quietly

This work supports adults navigating anxiety, burnout, unresolved trauma, or the effects of domestic violence. You may be finding it hard to switch off after work, struggling to trust in relationships, or feeling stretched thin despite keeping up with daily responsibilities. We begin with what is affecting you most.

First, a steadier foundation

We start by understanding your concerns and building coping tools you can use in daily life. Psychotherapy offers space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns. If deeper trauma work is appropriate, EMDR or somatic techniques may be introduced when you feel ready. Your goals, feedback, and readiness guide the pace.

What to expect

A clear beginning.
Your pace.

Therapy is collaborative. There is room to ask questions, share what is working, and adjust the focus together.

  1. Start with what matters to you

We talk about what brings you to therapy, your history, and what you would like to feel or do differently. Together, we identify priorities and establish a pace that feels manageable.

  2. Build tools for everyday life

Sessions can explore thoughts, emotions, relationship patterns, and responses to stress. Psychotherapy, CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy can support practical work on coping, boundaries, and choices.

  3. Make space for deeper work

When appropriate and when you feel ready, EMDR or somatic approaches may become part of your care. We regularly return to your goals and how the work is carrying into daily life.
